International Dance Certification

A student has to go through 450hrs of training over the period of up to 3 years. The training year lasts 10 months.

(Note: Professional dancers who enroll for this Diploma might be eligible to receive their certification earlier based on the teachers’ discretion i.e., they can get their diplomas in less than 450hrs of training.)

The 450 hrs. include:

Regular weekly classes: The Studio provides up to 12hrs of weekly classes Including Oriental and Tribal Fusion Bellydance led by our renowned faculty. You need to enroll to at least 4hrs per week depending on your schedule. In case you enrolling in the middle of the training year, you have to adjust your schedule to complete the remaining hours.

Private classes: The Studio provides also private classes so you can adapt your training tou your idnividual schedule.

Intensive Training: These courses are offered by our Artistic Director Anna Dimitratou and Honored Guests, which include exclusive theory, technique and choreography for the program students. You need to attend all the intensive training sessions for at least the first year. You will receive a certificate after completion of every intensive training.

Beside the weekly classes and the intensive trainings, the students have to also attend the Masterclasses during the Oriental Awards Festival, organised by the Artistic Studio Oriental Expression, every spring in Athens. You get the opportunity to learn from International teachers from all over the world, through the Workshops provided.

You need to attend all the workshops for at least three editions of the Festival. You will receive a certificate after completion of Workshops every festival.

The examination is conducted every year at the Oriental Expression Awards Festival.

Students will have to present themselves by performing in a solo choreography in the "Spring International Bellydance Competition", where they will be evaluated by an internationally recognized selected panel.

In their 3rd year of training they have to compete in the Professional category of the "Spring International Bellydance Competition".

Students have to register as members of the International Dance Council.

The school sends a declaration to CID that the student has completed a module of 150 hours and is ready to proceed in the next or the final level.

The diplomas are awarded during a special Convocation ceremony during the Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival the same year. Representatives of the CID, the CID – Athens Section, and our artistic director, Ms. Anna Dimitratou award the certificates.
