Ondel-ondel is an icon of Jakarta. Ondel-ondel are utilized for livening up festivals or for welcoming guests of honor, usually in pairs. Ondel-ondel is one of a few Indonesian folk performances that has survived modernization and is still being regularly performed.<\/p>\n<p>The musical accompaniment for the ondel-ondel performance varies with regions, occasions and groups of performances.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SIRIH KUNING DANCE<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The name of Sirih Kuning allegedly used in the ancient times when the procession of traditional wedding, sirih kuning is given from the prospective groom to the prospective bride. It developed into a dance from the origin from dance cokek betawi.<\/p>\n<p>This dance usually shows a pair of female and male dancers. But along with the times, this dance is often carried by children and does not demand one pair of couple again.
